Release Notes – What's New?

Highlights in MES Model & Refactor® (MoRe) v.5.11 (July 2026)

Improve Model Readability with Better Split Signal Positioning in 'Auto Layout'
Signal lines that split to multiple destination ports now route through fewer segments, bends, and crossings, producing a cleaner layout. Split signal lines originating from Inport blocks are routed with fewer bends while allowing slightly more crossings when beneficial.

Additionally, blocks with split outgoing signals are better positioned, further improving line routing and the overall layout.

Get a Clearer Signal Flow With the Upgraded 'Auto Layout'
Block chains that start at a source block or end at a sink block are now visually separated from large parallel blocks resulting in clearer signal flow. This helps teams better understand how the model works, making collaboration easier.

Incorporate MoRe’s Auto Layout Into Your Automation Workflows With Our New API Function
The new mes.more.api.autoLayout function lets you trigger the 'Auto Layout' action directly from your MATLAB scripts, enabling automated, consistent and more readable Simulink model layouts.

Tutorials and Blog Posts on MoRe

As a modeling assistance tool and Simulink add-on/plug-in, MoRe automates modeling steps that have to be performed frequently. Automated modeling actions are available for signal routing through subsystem hierarchies, moving blocks with signal connections between subsystems, model refactoring by changing the subsystem partitioning, auto-layout subsystems like auto-positioning blocks or signal route optimization (straighten lines), accelerated editing of subsystem interfaces, simplified work with bus signals, and fast data flow analysis.

The editor enhancements are technically based on sl_customization.m. However, MoRe’s enhancements go far beyond this and offer, for example, a multi-level undo and redo of modeling actions. The MoRe productivity tool increases the automation of modeling in MATLAB Simulink. MoRe speeds up modeling so you can focus on the big picture while modeling instead of wasting time on monotonous baby steps.

MES Model Examiner® (MXAM) Functional Safety Solution now includes MoRe in all user licenses.
