Alexander Binkowski

Alexander Binkowski

Alexander Binkowski joined Model Engineering Solutions at the start of 2018 as Product Application Engineer. His goal is to support customers so that they can get the full benefits of using MES Model & Refactor (MoRe). The results of his work with customers directly influence the development of MES latest tool for model refactoring. Alexander Binkowski studied mechanical engineering at TU Dresden.

Prof. Dr. Mirko Conrad

Dr. Mirko Conrad

Mirko Conrad serves as Managing Director of samoconsult GmbH, a cross-industry consulting and engineering company for comprehensive services in the field of functional safety. Prof. Conrad is deputy spokesperson on the executive committee for the “Automotive Software Engineering” working group at German Informatics Society (GI). As guest lecturer at TU Munich and honorary professor at TU Dresden, he lectures in automotive software engineering and functional safety. He actively participated in the standardization of ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), DO-178C, and various MISRA guidelines. Mirko Conrad also has more than 10 years’ experience in tool classification / qualification across various industries and standards.

Ines Fey

Ines Fey is founder and CEO of samoconsult GmbH, an engineering and consulting firm recognized across industries for their comprehensive services in the area of functional safety. She has been working in the automotive domain for 20+ years. Since 2008 she has been providing her expert knowledge as an independent consultant to automotive OEMs and suppliers. As a principal consultant she supports her clients in the areas of functional safety, and the development of software-based system. Ines Fey participated in the standardization of ISO 26262.

Dr. Jan Grabowski

Dr. Jan Grabowski

Jan Grabowski is Head of Product at Model Engineering Solutions. With unwavering interest in ensuring the optimal support for our customers, he designs application scenarios and solution concepts for the MES software tools and services, and consults and assists customers worldwide. His expertise in quality assurance flows into the MES webinars and also into his role as speaker at conferences, and he happily shares his knowledge in MES training classes.

Sophia Kohle

Sophia Kohle

Sophia Kohle has been a part of Model Engineering Solutions (MES) since 2014 and a Managing Director since 2022. In her work, the qualified mathematician is guided by her passion for quality. Over the last few years, Sophia has been closely involved in the continued development of strategy and the organization of MES. She has led numerous customer projects and has designed and held training classes on the topic of model-based development.  She is also Product Manager of MES' key tool Model Examiner® (MXAM), the tool for static model analysis of Simulink® and TargetLink® models, which has been successfully classified and qualified by TÜV SÜD for use in safety-related software development in compliance with ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and ISO 25119.

Dr. Hartmut Pohlheim

Dr. Hartmut Pohlheim

Hartmut Pohlheim has been driving forward the quality assurance of software models for the automotive industry for more than 20 years. He holds a doctorate in technical cybernetics and automation engineering from the Technical University of Ilmenau and is considered one of the most distinguished experts in model-based software development. Since 2008 Hartmut Pohlheim has been Managing Director of Model Engineering Solutions (MES) and is responsible for technology development as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He inspires customers with his effective solutions and expertize in quality assurance. Agile management is important to him and he cares a lot about his employees feeling valued and appreciated.

Dr. Simon Rösel

Dr. Simon Rösel

Simon Rösel has been a software engineer for the MES Model Examiner® (MXAM) since 2017. He received his PhD in Mathematical Optimization at the Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany). He is product owner of MXAM with a focus on customer consultation in development projects. His additional responsibilities include the development of checks for automated guideline verification, e.g. in the context of ISO 26262, and support in research projects. He is particularly interested in the question of how models can be used efficiently in development processes.

Katja Schmidt

Katja Schmidt

Katja Schmidt joined MES in 2017 and works in model development and model testing in the MES Test Manager® (MTest) development team. She brings her expertize in this area to MES’ research projects and also to MES’ training program as a trainer. She studied engineering science at the Technische Universität Berlin (Technical University Berlin).

Melina Simichanidou

Melina Simichanidou

Melina Simichanidou is a mathematician. After completing her Bachelor's degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she successfully completed her Master's degree at the Technische Universität Berlin. She has been working as a software developer in the development team of the MES Model Examiner® (MXAM) since 2017. Her main areas of focus are the development of checks in MXAM and customer support. She also shares her expertize in software development as a trainer in the training classes.

Kai Teschner

Kai Teschner

Kai Teschner is Product Application Engineer for the MES tools MXAM and MTest. He joined MES in 2016 while he was studying electrical engineering with a focus on control engineering and modeling at the Technical University Berlin. In this way, he was able to gain first-hand experience in test projects regarding safety relevant software. After successfully completing his studies, Kai Teschner started working on developing the software of the test management tool MTest. As a tudoor academy trainer, he shares his expertise in testing and developing safety critical software.

Yuzhu Yang

Yuzhu Yang

Yuzhu Yang is Product Application Engineer of MES China. He supports the introduction of model checking and testing tools to Chinese customers and contributes to the product development process. With over seven years of software developing experience in safety-related systems, he assists customers in how to best use MES tools and how to implement them in the model-based software development practice. As an MES Academy trainer, he likes to share how to make the software development more efficient by using qualified tools and having a well-defined process.
