Release Notes – What's New?

Highlights in latest version of MES Model Examiner® (MXAM) v.10.5 (April 2025)

Implement Defensive Programming Techniques in Stateflow
Prevent unintended data retention from previous executions, and maintain consistency in Stateflow outputs with the new check for guideline misra_slsf_060. This check identifies Stateflow outputs that are not written on each execution path of a flowchart.

Improved Workflows with Enhanced Web Services and Shorter Run Times
Extended caching improves analysis times, especially for large models containing Stateflow charts or TargetLink data.

New webservice endpoints automate actions such as starting analyses, changing perspectives, and loading reports.

Enhanced Markdown Editing for Easier Customization
A new toolbar in the Markdown editor enables quick insertion of images, links, and tables. Keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl + B for bold) streamline formatting.

Markdown is now supported in guideline document descriptions, making documentation more informative and user-friendly.

Tutorials

Static Testing Has Never Been Easier

In this video, you will see how MXAM and MATLAB work hand in hand. MXAM can carry out the static analysis of your model from within Simulink® and apply automatic fixes to guideline violations.

Simply Better Models, in Just 3 Clicks

MXAM - Your guide to better modeling. In this video, you will see how MXAM's automated repair function makes guideline compliance a seamless process.

How do I repair guideline violations?

To apply the automatic repair function, you can either use the tree menu in the Document Navigation view to display only repairable checks, or just look out for the failed symbol with a wrench next to it.

How do I justify guideline violations?

You can use annotations to justify guideline violations. Select a finding and press 'Add Annotation' in the context menu. Write a comment and optionally change the result type of the finding.

How To Video: MXAM Report

In this video we will explain how to understand reports and demonstrate how to work with them in order to make your model guideline compliant.

How To Video: MXAM Project

In this video, Model Engineering Solutions (MES) will demonstrate how to set up an MXAM project as an mxmp-file.
