MES Strengthens Its Presence in the USA: Model Engineering Solutions Inc. Opens in Detroit
MES sets its sights on targeted support of US customers via its local subsidiary, Model Engineering Solutions Inc. (MES, Inc.)
The Berlin-based software company Model Engineering Solutions GmbH (MES) has opened a subsidiary in Detroit, MI (USA), effective April 1: Model Engineering Solutions Inc. (MES, Inc.). With MES, Inc., MES will offer its US customers a local point of contact for the introduction to and quality assurance of model-based software development in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ISO 25119. The MES Quality Tools, support of US customers, training classes, and consulting services all form part of the MES, Inc. offering. As part of its launch, MES, Inc. will have a strong presence at trade fairs and conferences throughout April and May 2018, including at WCX18 in Detroit, MI, and at the 7th International CTI Conference – ISO 26262 in Novi, MI. Beyond this, MES, Inc. will, in cooperation with dSPACE, Inc., hold a training class on the topic of “Model-based Development of Embedded Software in Compliance with ISO 26262”. The team will celebrate the official launch of Model Engineering Solutions Inc. with an opening reception at The Iroquois Club in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Dr. Heiko Dörr and Scott Ranville (Vice President of MES, Inc.) will jointly lead the American subsidiary. The official launch will be marked by an opening reception for Model Engineering Solutions Inc. at The Iroquois Club in Bloomfield Hills, MI, on April 18, from 6:30 p.m.
MES, Inc. at the WCX18: SAE World Congress Experience and the CTI Conference – ISO 26262
At SAE International's WCX World Congress Experience, which runs from April 10 to 12, 2018, MES, Inc. will present the latest releases of the MES Quality Tools at booth no. 5038: MES Model Examiner v.4.6; MES M-XRAY v. 3.6; and MES Test Manager v.5.1. Alongside this, Dr. Heiko Dörr will host a presentation on “Analysis and Improvement of Model Architectures for Safety Critical Systems” on Wednesday, April 11, at 1:30 p.m.
An additional opportunity to connect with MES, Inc. will arise at the 7th International CTI Conference – ISO 26262 at the Diamond Center from May 15 to 17, 2018, in Novi, Michigan (USA). Here, attendees will also have the chance to see Dr. Heiko Dörr’s presentation on the ISO 26262 update, entitled “On the Impact of ISO 26262:2018 on Model-based Development of Safety-related Systems.”
Training Classes on Model-based Development in Compliance with ISO 26262 at dSPACE, Inc.
MES will host a training class on the topic “Model-based Development of Automotive Embedded Software in Compliance with ISO 26262” on April 16 and 17 together with long-term partner dSPACE, Inc. This effective training class recently impressed new customer Nicholas Broyles of Bendix:
