The focus of the European development project ASSUME was the study and development of a continuous development methodology and toolchain, as well as a new safeguarding procedure for software that is run on multi-core processors. As part of this, MES aimed to highlight new ways to develop embedded software for mobility solutions. With the MES monitoring tool, the MES Quality Commander® (MQC), MES developed an integrating framework to measure and track product quality in compliance with ISO 25010. By using the MES software toolsMES Model Examiner® (MXAM) for guideline checks and MES M-XRAY® for complexity tests, quality data was collected via an automated process. Together with the technology partner BTC Embedded Systems AG, the formalization of requirements with Simplified Universal Pattern was also implemented. This enabled many application cases in the area of verification, such as consistency tests, automatic test case generation, formal test, or formal verification.

The ASSUME project thus delivered solutions for developing and verifying highly automated, safety-relevant, and performance-critical mobility systems. Furthermore, the definition, application, and consistent graphical depiction of the quality evaluation could all be visualized using the MES Quality Commander® (MQC).
