This video covers the 'Analyze' action in the MES Model & Refactor® (MoRe) tool, focusing on two main actions:
How to Use MoRe: Analyze
You will explore MoRe's 'Analyze' action to better understand signal flow and dependencies within your models.
- 'Highlight to all Sources' (Backward Slicing): This feature allows you to identify exactly which input signals affect a specific output signal. While standard Simulink features often stop at the first source block, MoRe highlights all signal lines backward throughout the model, making it easier to visualize complex signal dependencies without tedious manual searching.
- 'Jump to Usage Destinations' (Forward Data Flow): This action helps you identify every block in your model that uses a particular signal. It is particularly useful for tracking errors or analyzing the effects of a signal change. Rather than manually navigating through large models, MoRe provides a convenient dialog listing all usage destinations. Double-clicking an item in this list takes you directly to the corresponding highlighted destination block.
