Find Your Ideal Solution: Flexible MES Licensing Options

Model Engineering Solutions (MES) provides a variety of licensing plans to match individual requirements. Whether you are using our tools for personal, commercial, or teaching and academic purposes, we have a license that perfectly meets your requirements. Here is a closer look at the specific license models provided by MES:

User License

User Licenses are optimal for small, local teams comprising one to five developers. These licenses require local installation on a computer with at least one designated user, and offer options in the form of subscriptions or perpetual licenses.

1. Dongle License (DL):

  • Perfect for: individual developers and small teams.
  • Features: License is tied to a physical USB dongle plugged into the computer.

2. Floating Network License (FNL):

  • Ideal for: teams where multiple users need access to the tool.
  • Features: Requires a license server installed on a physical machine. We recommend one floating license per five to eight developers.
  • Options: Available geographical scopes include EMEA, AMERICAS, APAC, and GLOBAL.

Automation Licenses

Automation licenses are designed to streamline integrating MES tools within your existing automation framework (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Git). They enable automatic or manual tool execution through scripts and multiple tools can run concurrently based on your workflow requirements.

1. Automation License On Premise (FNL-CI):

  • Designed for: centralized process automation on your premises.
  • Requires: installation on a dedicated physical license server.
  • Users: must be located within the designated region.
  • Includes: remote access and virtual machine usage.

2. Automation License Global and Cloud (FNL-CI):

  • Designed for: centralized process automation in distributed or cloud-based environments.
  • Features: Users can be located anywhere globally or utilize cloud services. Offers remote access and cloud-based virtual machine usage. Requires installation on a dedicated physical license server.
  • Availability: Only available as a subscription license.

Why Subscription?

MES offers both perpetual and subscription-based licensing (watch video above). Subscription plans are becoming more and more popular since they offer:

  • Flexibility: Access the latest features and updates as they become available.
  • Cost Control: Predictable annual payments.
  • Reduced Upfront Costs: Shift investments (CAPEX) to operating expenses (OPEX).
