For more than 20 years, Hartmut Pohlheim has focused on making software quality visible and manageable. With a background in cybernetics and automation engineering, he has spent his career in the automotive industry helping teams to gain clarity over their software projects. Since 2008 Hartmut has been the Managing Director of Model Engineering Solutions (MES), where he also leads the development of the MES Quality Commander® (MQC), which supports organisations in improving their software quality monitoring and development processes.
In addition to his leadership role, Hartmut plays an active part in shaping industry conversations around software quality monitoring by sharing his thoughts on LinkedIn, where he represents MQC.
In his role as a trainer at the tudoor academy, he helps engineering teams to develop the practical expertise needed to systematically improve software quality and strengthen their model-based development practices.

About the Author
Hartmut holds a doctorate in technical cybernetics and automation engineering from the Technical University of Ilmenau. His professional career began in the research department at Daimler AG, where his work focused on optimizing technical applications and visualizing complex systems.
Since 2008, he has served as the managing director of MES and leads technology development in his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In addition to his management responsibilities, he serves as the product owner of MQC. He focuses on software quality monitoring to enable a comprehensive view of quality data across tools and reports.
He combines technological expertise with agile management principles in his leadership role to foster effective collaboration and build strong engineering teams.
